Conflict-Free Mother and Daughter Shopping Trips
I am the owner of a tween store that’s in Los Angeles and online(http://www.juvieshop.com). Since I opened the store, I’ve been surprised at how many parents shop for their children without the kids along. I’m certain that it’s to avoid just the kinds of conflicts mentioned.
Parents that shop with me find shopping online to be a good alternative. The girls can browse and even create a wish list of items they like, which can then be discussed with their parents before placing an order. It really cuts down on the fitting room tension, and allows for discussions about fit and being age appropriate at home.
