FLOCKS A-PLENTY: A tale of three Jewish chicken coops
This is a great article, and I hope many are inspired to raise their own hens. But there should be one note of caution for those contemplating raising chickens on their own: Beware of foxes and raccoons. My sister just lost five hens, in one night’s raid (she lives on Long Island, but the hazards are the same!).
