Mitchell Platt

I am: a 1984 graduate of Randallstown High School, a 1994 graduate of Towson University with a B.S. in management. I received my MBA from the University of Baltimore. I am currently the general manager at Woodholme Country Club and sit on the advisory council for Baltimore Make-A-Wish Foundation.
As an advisory council member: I assist in soliciting sponsorships and participants for the [Make-A-Wish Baltimore Kids] Triathlon (being held May 20 at Padonia Park Club).
Most exciting part: Watching the kids compete. I also like the positive effect that the charitable aspect of the event has on healthy kids when they help others with life threatening medical conditions.
What I’ve learned from Make-A-Wish children: The opportunities the foundation provides has such as dramatic impact on kids and families. Often the kids have life-threatening conditions and this gives them such hope, purpose and drive.
What people don’t know about me: I’m a creature of habit. I’ve been going to the same dentist since I was 4; the same hair person forever.
My Favorite…
Sport to watch: Baseball
Summer vacation spot: Bethany Beach
Baltimore memory: Hanging out in my neighborhood and playing outside in unsupervised play.
