What does Adam Duritz have that makes famous, luscious actresses simply Silly Putty in his nimble hands? People magazine recently explored this inexplicable phenomenon of our times.
Granted, Duritz, the Baltimore-born frontman for the band Counting Crows, is no rad Pitt. (Heck, he’s not even Brad Garrett.) But the dreadlocked singer, 45, does seem to have a certain way with the babes. His past peccadillo paramours reportedly include Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox Arquette and Mary Louise Parker—not too shabby, Adam.
And his most recent conquest? Actress Emmy Rossum, 23, who recently split with her husband of a year-and-a-half, music executive Justin Siegel, and is now reportedly dating—yep, you know it!—Duritz.
So for the love of Mr. Jones, what in the world is Adam’s secret? Duritz himself admits that back in high school, the cheerleaders never even gave him a glance.
“I’m honest and forthcoming,” he confided to Blender magazine last year. “I’m an earnest guy. If you want irony or sarcasm, it’s not really what you get from me.”
OK. Well, whatever you’re doing, boychik, don’t stop doing it.
