Adam Duritz
As The Crow Flies
October 12, 2009
We recently wrote about a mystery as deep and murky as the Loch Ness Monster—Adam Duritz’s hold on gorgeous starlets.
His latest “victim,” adorable Emmy Rossum, who is 22 years his junior, tried to explain Duritz’s appeal recently (although she would not say whether or not she left her husband for the Bawlmer-born Counting Crows frontman).
“I get why chicks dig him,” Emmy told People at the grand launch of the W Hotel in Washington, D.C. “He’s extremely kind, incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, creative and respectful.”
She went on to say why she won’t own up on Adam. “I don’t discuss my love life because it’s always misinterpreted or put under the microscope,” she said. “It’s especially annoying when you’re dating someone else who’s well-known, which is why I normally would never go out with a famous guy. …
“I really can’t say if I’m available or not.”
Meanwhile, Emmy is out there promoting “Dare,” an independent movie that she described as “an edgy art house film exploring the sexuality, awkwardness and loneliness of teenagers -– because life really is awkward and funny, isn’t it?
“I used to be an artsy, quiet, kind of chubby kid, which no one believes,” she said, “But now I’m really comfortable with my body and my sexuality. I can be naked with the lights on.”
We’ll take your word for it, Emmy.
