Wanna look as good as handsome Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine? Well, the singer is launching his own clothing collection next spring.
The line is called 222 after Levine’s lucky number, and will include jeans, T-shirts and leather jackets for men and women. Prices range from $30 for a T-shirt, $100 for dresses and wraps, between $150 to $280 for jeans and $1,250 for biker jackets.
“I’m passionate about fashion,” Levine, 31, told Women’s Wear Daily. “I think it says something about yourself and, whether you care about clothes or not, what you wear reflects some kind of attitude towards style.”
BTW, Levine knows the fashion biz quite well. His dad, Fred, operated M. Frederic specialty boutiques in Los Angeles for 30 years.
“This is a family affair,” said Adam, whose stylist and cousin are also part of the project. “This is something grassroots I collaborate on and approve every single piece of clothing in the line. I’m not just hawking something because I’m in a famous band.”
He describes the clothes as “very simple and pure and durable. Jeans, T-shirts and a leather jacket. That’s all I need. I think it’s always fun to be the most underdressed person in a room. There will be no bedazzling in this collection.”
