Finally, the Beastie Boys, those dorky pioneers of hip-hop, will be inducted into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame. They’ve finally earned the right to fight for their right to party.
The group—consisting of Mike D (Michael Diamond), MCA (Adam Yauch) and Ad-Rock (Adam Horowitz) will join a Hall of Fame class of 2012 that includes the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Guns N Roses.
The ceremony will be held next April at the Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
