She may be deceased, but Amy Winehouse has a new album coming out.
The beehived British neo-soul singer, who died last July at age 27 of alcohol toxicity, has a posthumous CD on the way. The 12-track listing for the album, titled “Lioness: Hidden Treasures,” features alternate versions of Winehouse tunes, new material such as her duet with Tony Bennett, and unreleased tracks. Among the tracks are a reggae version of “Our Day Will Come” and the standard “The Girl From Ipanema.”
Artists Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson worked closely with Winehouse’s family, management and record label to craft the album, which will be released next month.
One pound from the sale of each album will be donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was created to “help children who are suffering from economic disadvantage, who are ill [and] who are suffering with drug abuse,” her father, Mitch Winehouse, told CNN.
