Bebe Neuwirth
Back In Black
May 6, 2009
Well, Lilith is off the couch and off the market again, and back in the good graces of matrimony.
The lovely, sexy Bebe Neuwirth, who brilliantly played the uptight shrink and ex-wife of TV’s Frasier Crane, recently got hitched, to Chris Calkins, founder of the Destino vineyard in Cali’s Napa Valley.
Ms. Neuwirth, 50, who’s best known for her “Cheers”-originated role of Dr. Lilith Sternin-Crane, is a Tony Award-winning Broadway star as well (“Chicago,” “Sweet Charity”). In addition, she portrayed the role of Eisenhower-era Baltimore Jewish mom Ada Kurtzman in the Barry Levinson film “Liberty Heights.”
Ms. Neuwirth and Mr. Calkins took their vows before approximately 80 guests at the Players Club in Manhattan’s Gramercy Park. Ms. Neuwirth’s buddy, actor/writer Peter Coyote, officiated at the ceremony. Ms. Neuwirth was married once before, in 1984, to Paul Dorman.
Next year, the actress will return to the Great White Way to join Nathan Lane in a musical version of “The Addams Family.” Here’s a shocker – she’s playing Morticia!
