Well, he’s back. Yet again.
Singer and original frontman David Lee Roth will join Van Halen on its upcoming world tour to promote its new album on Interscope Records and the 40th anniversary of the band’s founding (as Mammoth).
The band confirmed it will be hitting the road with “Diamond Dave,” 57, in a video posted on its website, but specific dates have not yet been announced.
Van Halen’s new album—their first with Roth since 1984’s “1984”—is said to be hitting stores early this year. Roth last toured with his former bandmates in 2008.
Seems all of the acrimony has been put aside for a gezunta payday.
No word yet if Sammy Hagar, Gary Cherone or Michael Anthony will be joining the group for its big reunion tour.
(Translation: extremely doubtful.)
