Well, he denied it.
Sort of.
When asked on “Good Morning America” today if he was the biological father of Michael Jackson’s three children, Dr. Arnold Klein, the late king of pop’s dermatologist, offered a tepid negative response.
“All I can tell you is, to the best of my knowledge, I am not the father of these children,” he said. “I can’t answer it any other way. I don’t want to feed any of this insanity going around.”
Dr. Klein praised the kids, Prince Michael, 12, Paris Katherine, 11, and Prince Michael II (Blanket), 7. Jackson’s two eldest children were born to his Jewish ex-wife, Debbie Rowe, who used to work for the good doctor.
“These are brilliant children and I want them in no way to be harmed. ... People should know the depth of [Jackson’s] love of his children,” Dr. Klein said.
He also refuted claims that he is being investigated for prescribing dangerous narcotic pain medications and anesthesia to the singer.
“I didn’t give him this crap they are talking about,” Dr. Klein said. “I’ve never prescribed Oxycontin in my life. How am I going to prescribe Diprivan when I don’t understand how to use it? … I have not been contacted by the police in Los Angeles.”
Dr. Klein said the Gloved One was in fine shape the last time he saw him, on June 22, three days before Jackson’s death.
“He danced in my office. He danced for my patients,” Dr. Klein said. “He was very muscular, and he was very, very happy and dancing. I saw nothing at that point in time that would make me worry whatsoever.”
