Baltimore-born rocker Evan Taubenfeld knows how to sweep a lady off her feet and celebrate the Festival of Lights at the same time, even if she’s not Jewish.
Evan, 26, recently released an acoustic tune about his crush on country superstar Taylor Swift called “Merry Swiftmas (Even Though I Celebrate Chanukah).” In the song, Evan, who was once Avril Lavigne’s musical director, offers a list of gorgeous celebs – from Angelina to Megan Fox – but comes to the conclusion that no one can top fair maiden Taylor. “I’ll probably shed a few tears if you mess up and send Britney Spears,” he sings with the sound of sleigh bells ringing softly in the distance. “So, Santa for my gift, please send me Taylor Swift!”
Taylor, it turns out, was quite impressed with Evan’s overture. She posted a link to the song on her Twitter page and wrote, “THIS made me smile.
”
Not bad, Evan.
