Not sure that Kevin Spacey will be turning up at Tov Pizza anytime soon, but word has it that the two-time Academy Award-winning actor will portray our very own Jack Abramoff in a docu-drama about the rise and fall of the convicted D.C. lobbyist/turned Northwest Bawlmer pizza guy.
“Bagman,” originally titled “Casino Jack” is being directed by George Hickenlooper and made in cooperation with Abramoff, 51, by independent distributor Metropolitan. The film is reportedly headed for an October release, and the filmmakers say they believe that the 50-year-old Mr. Spacey gave an awards-caliber performance.
“Bagman” covers Abramoff’s fall from GOP grace and fat-cat excess to the Cumberland slammer.
