James Mee—the Jewish sheriff’s deputy who in ‘06 arrested Mel Gibson for drunk driving and was famously told by the “Braveheart” actor that Jews are responsible for all of the world’s tsouris—recently struck a settlement deal of $50,000 in his discrimination suit against Los Angeles County.
Mee claimed his police superiors retaliated against him for not removing Gibber’s offensive remarks from the original arrest report. (The police brass denied the charges.)
Mee’s attorney, Etan Lorant, told TMZ, “Deputy Mee did not file his lawsuit for money. He filed his lawsuit for the principle of what had happened to him. He strongly believes in his case.”
Of course, the pocket change never hurts.
