September 21, 2009OK, we know, we know. You’re still bummed about the recent break-up of “Dancing With The Stars” pros Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chermkovskiy.
But fear not. Karina says everything is cool between them.
“It’s kind of easy to stay friends,” the gorgeous Ms. Smirnoff told People. “We were friends for 14 years, before anything else. It will always remain this way. It’s not difficult. We both think the world of each other.”
Ms. Smirnoff, 31, and Mr. Chmerkovskiy, 29, announced recently that they had broken up after being engaged for about eight months.
Karina admitted that their upcoming performance together at the Emmy Awards ceremony is a bit nerve-wracking. “Very nervous, very excited – it is a routine we’re going to perform together,” she said. “It’s going to be great. It’s young, it’s fun, it’s energetic. It’s got some crazy moves. So it will be nice.”
