The man with the stringy, long hair who makes the world swoon with his light, dulcet sounds, adult contemp/smooth jazz musician Kenny G. (aka Kenneth Bruce Gorelick), and his wife, Balynda “Lyndie” Benson-Gorelick, are splitting up after two decades of matrimony.
Benson-Gorelick initiated the separation, according to documents filed in the L.A. County Superior Court earlier this month. She cited irreconcilable differences and is requesting full physical custody of their only minor child, Noah, 14. The couple has another son as well.
Benson-Gorelick has hired attorney Gary Fishbein for the case, while the 55-year-old, Seattle-born saxophonist/sleep inducer is putting high-profile attorney Laura Wasser on retainer.
Fasten your seatbelts, folks, Jewish divorce lawyers—to loosely paraphrase Bette Davis, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
