Lauren Lauren? Really?
But that’s the new married name of the niece of former President George W. Bush, Lauren Bush, who was wedded recently in a Jewish ceremony in Colorado to David Lauren, son of fashion mogul Ralph Lauren (nee Lifschitz).
Bush, 27, and Lauren, 39, met in 2004 and got engaged last year. They exchanged vows at the designer’s 17,000-acre Double RL Ranch (named for Ralph and wife Ricky Lauren) in the Rocky Mountains. Rabbi/Cantor Angela Warnick Buchdahl of New York’s Central Synagogue officiated.
Dress code for the wedding was reportedly “black tie with a Western twist.” Among the 200 attendees were the bride’s First Lady aunt and presidential uncle, cousins Jenna and Barbara Bush, and another uncle, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. Lauren’s grandparents, George H.W. and Barbara Bush, were unable to attend but sent a video message.
The groom’s sister, Dylan Lauren, also attended, as did Ivanka Trump.
