You’ve gotta give it to Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The Odessa-born “Dancing With The Stars” hoofer, 31, does not lack in confidence.
At all.
Last week’s verbal attack against judge Len Goodman shocked a lot of folks, even fellow “DWTS” dancer Derek Hough.
“I was personally extremely surprised,” Hough told People in the aftermath of Goodman telling Chmerkovskiy and partner Hope Solo that they performed their “worst dance of the season.”
“I feel like the judges have been incredibly generous,” Hough said. “But we’re all very emotional.”
Chmerkovskiy suggested that Goodman’s half-century in the ballroom business might be an example of overstaying your welcome. Carrie Ann Inaba advised
Maks to be “respectful” of the head judge.
Later, when questioned about his behavior, Chmerkovskiy claimed responsibility for the series’ success, calling “DWTS” “my show” and that he helped “make it what it is.”
Wow. Guess hubris is a tool of the dancer’s trade.
