Matthew Broderick is back. And his back is back.
The “Ferris Bueller” star recently underwent back surgery, and he says he’s feeling fine now, although the recovery is tough on his fraternal twins, Tabitha and Loretta, 2, and his wife, Sarah Jessica Parker.
“I’m not allowed to pick them up for a while and it’s hard to explain,” Broderick, 49, told People at the Showtime and Cinema Society’s premiere of “Homeland” recently. “But they’re pretty good about it. They got it very quickly. I keep telling them, ‘I’ll be back.’”
Meanwhile, he says the girls just won’t shut up – not SJP, the twins. They’re at that loquacious age.
“They are into talking, saying every new word,” Broderick says. ”They repeat everything a lot of times. Their ‘R’s and ‘L’s are not so good, but that will come.”
And what’s new with James Wilkie, Matthew’s 8-year-old son?
“He likes to take tennis in sports camp,” says Broderick. ”There is a girl and on the tennis court they actually just take out their Bey Blades and play. … They don’t give a damn about tennis.”
