Didn’t see this one coming. But among the Hollywood marital fatalities is Melissa Gilbert and her husband of 16 years, Bruce Boxleitner.
The “Little House On The Prairie” actress, 46, and the 60-year-old “Tron” actor have one son together, Michael, 15, who is named for the late Michael Landon, Melissa’s on-screen dad and real-life mentor. Gilbert also has a son, Dakota, 21, from her previous marriage to actor Bo Brinkman.
“We have loved each other for a very long time and we share four incredible sons together,” Gilbert, an ex-president of the Screen Actors Guild, said in a statement, alluding to Bruce’s two sons from a previous marriage. “On behalf of our family we ask to be allowed our privacy during this very difficult time.”
