Last week on the British TV show “This Morning,” Mitch Winehouse, the garrulous taxi-driving father of soul diva Amy Winehouse, wanted to get something off his chest about his oft-troubled daughter’s chest.
Amy, he said, is doing “fantastic, fantastic. Her boobs are great as well. … I shouldn’t have said that, should I?”
Sounds like a classy dad.
But it does seem that Amy, 26, is finally getting her act together, which seems to include a reported $56,000 breast enhancement operation.
About her substance abuse recovery, Mr. Winehouse said, “There is no total recovery. It’s a recovery. It’s a slow, gradual recovery. If you look back to where we were a year ago, you know we are in a different planet. We are in a different space and a different time and a different person. We all are. We’re all recovering.
“The best thing we can do for our loved ones who are addicted is to maintain that normal family atmosphere. Why should they feel guilty? When the person has recovered and wants to reenter the family, they don’t want to see a family that’s destroyed, and that can happen.”
