The late Amy Winehouse’s tenacious dad, Mitch, is writing a book about the neo-soul singer. It will be called “Amy, My Daughter” and released by HarperCollins next summer, according to E! Online.
Mitch Winehouse says the book will explore Amy’s childhood and life before fame, as well as her deep substance abuse woes.
“I feel the need to write this book, to tell the true story of Amy and to help with my personal recovery,” he said.
Profits from sales of the book will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which helps disadvantaged children and young adults.
