Rhymin’ Simon is back. For the first time in nearly three decades, Paul Simon recently returned to Israel, to perform at Ramat Gan Stadium.
“Shalom,” Simon, 70, told reporters in Tel Aviv. At the press conference, he was presented a shofar. Simon said there was no particular reason why it’s been so long since his last visit to Israel. He’s just not much for international touring, he said.
Simon first performed in Israel in 1978, and in 1983 he returned there with his occasional partner, Art Garfunkel.
