“The O.C.” actress Rachel Bilson and hunky Canadian actor Hayden Christensen officially announced today – through their reps, of course – that they’ve ended their engagement.
“Yes, the engagement is off,” Bilson’s rep told People, while declining to offer details on the break-up.
Of course, the rumor mill has been chugging away for months that the two were history. Distance was allegedly a bone of contention, with Bilson in L.A. and Christensen in Canada.
“It just wasn’t working out,” said an F.O.R. (Friend of Rachel). Now, Bilson, 28, is “focusing on her career, spending time with her family and just moving forward.”
Christensen, 29, and Bilson met on the set of the sci-fi thriller “Jumper” in 2007, and got engaged in December of ‘08.
