The adorable Rashida Jones will team up with director Seth Gordon (“The King Of Kong: A Fistful Of Quarters,” “Four Christmases”) for her next project, “Celeste And Jesse Forever.” Besides starring in the film, Ms. Jones, daughter of the great Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton, wrote the screenplay with Will McCormack.
Rashida, 33, a Harvard grad, is best-known for her roles on “The Office,” “Parks And Recreation,” “ Boston Public” and “I Love You, Man.”
Variety reports that Ms. Jones, Mr. Gordon and company are looking for a male lead for the flick, which is scheduled for production starting in April. In “Celeste And James Forever,” Ms. Jones plays a wife in the midst of a divorce who tries to keep up a friendship with her soon-to-be-ex while starting the hideous process of dating.
Our guess is that Wilford Brimley is out of the running for the lead male role.
