Will David Arquette and his fetching blue-eyed wife, Courteney Cox Arquette, return to the mid-1990s “Scream” franchise?

Word has it that the Arquettes, who have a 5-year-old daughter, Coco Riley Arquette (Coco?!), have been approached by “Scream’s” writer, Kevin Williamson, about making cameos in the next installment of the horror flick genre send-up. Right now, Courteney’s pilot “Cougar Town,” which was picked up by ABC, seems to be in the way.

So time will tell. Also, no word yet on whether Neve Campbell will return as well.
