Lies My Rabbi Told Me

Speaking of ‘Lies’ this is certainly not ‘special to The Jewish Times.’ It appeared in Jerusalem Post some time ago. Has the Jewish Times contacted the Rabbi of Madrid for his response ? The issue that Rabbi Sacks avoids is that the Orthodox don’t accept Conservative conversions and therefore asked that the boy be immersed in the mikveh a second time in the presence of two Kosher witnesses, i.e. two adult Jewish male witnesses who accept the basic principle of ‘Torah min HaShomayin’ or the revealed nature of Torah, a principle not necessarily accepted by Conservatives.
