When I read the article on STOP SETTLEMENTS by Rabbi John Friedman, it reminded me of the saying that JEWS ARE THEIR OWN WORSE ENEMY. I wonder if Rabbi Friedman is a Palestinian sympathizer. Having lived in Israel for three years and going back 11 times. I feel I know the feeling of the country and the feeling of the Palestinians.
The Jews who live in Iran are citizens of that country. Egytp, Morocco, Turkey or any other Arab country, if Jews live in these country, they are those countries citizens. Why not Jews who live in the West Bank become West Bank citizens and because of their status, they will also be Israel citizens. Remember there are over one million Arabs who are living in peace in Israel and are Isreal citizens. Cannot Rabbi Friedman figure out what is good for the Arabs are also good for the Jews. The settlements are on land legally purchased by Jews and therefore have the right to build anything they want to live there. Rabbi, why are the Jews wrong? In your looking for world peace, look at all sides and see what is good for all people and not just try to appease an enemy that only wants to drive the Jews into the sea. See what the world is doing and try to fit in with your fellow Jews and not just throw them out in the name of appeasment. See what happened in Gaza when the Jews were removed. I was in a moshave when after the settlements were removed in the name of your appeasment a friendly group in Gaza shot a rocket into the moshave and hit a house one block away from where I was sitting. Rabbi, with your type of thinking, the groups trying to distroy Israel will see only a sign of weakness and therefore do more damage as they see that weakness is a sign of their success. I met an Arab shop keeper from Jerusalem while I took a trip in the Sinia before it was given to Egypt. He was selling items and I went over to talk to him. He said that he never had it so good under Israel control, but he had to say in public that he did not like Israel and that it should belong to the Arabs. If he said otherwise, he would be killed, and he is an Israel citizen. Rabbi, why do you look at the settlements with your hands over your eyes. They are legal purchased lands, and like all other countries, should become West Bank citizens as well as Israel citizens. What is the matter, are Jews not equal to all other people in your eyes or do you just like to sell Jews out because you are their worse enemy as a Jew. Rabbi, wake up and smell the roses and you will see that settlements are not the problem, being a Jew in Israel is their problem. In your way of thinking, the only peace that will occur is when the Arabs drive the jews out of Israel and then the Jews will live in peace in some other country. Remember Hebron when the Arabs had the entire country and in the 20’s or 30’s they went into Hebron and killed all the Jews. What has changed? Peace will only come when the Arab mothers and with luck maybe even Arab fathers are tired of seeing their children die as suicide bombers and want to see them succeed as human beings or maybe when the Clerics stop preaching to kill Jews and take over Israel. Rabbi, change your thinking because you are 100% WRONG!!!
