Simchat Torah is one of the happiest Jewish holidays. It celebrates the completion of the reading of the Torah. That’s why we dance around the synagogue holding the Torah. This year, Simchat Torah falls on Sunday, Oct. 11.
If you are a host or a guest at a Simchat Torah meal and there are children present, bring the book, “Bubbe Isabella and the Sukkot Cake” (Kar-Ben Publishers). It is a lovely story that will take children from the beginning of Sukkot to Simchat Torah.
