The article (“Jewish, Local Reaction To Romney’s Selection Of Paul Ryan As Running Mate,” Aug. 17) is factually incorrect. The Romney-Ryan plan, as presented to the nation, does not affect anyone who is over 55. The current seniors now covered by Medicare will not have any change in their current coverage and those over 55 will be eligible for the same Medicare as the current recipients. After 10 years, newly entitled seniors will have the choice of having the same current coverage or ask for a voucher that they can use to purchase a private insurance policy. The choice will be theirs.
[President Barack] Obama has already diverted $750 million from Medicare to pay for Obamacare.
As the senior voters learn the truth about the Romney and Obama programs, the decision as to who to vote for will be easy, especially as the current debt increases and the number of people unemployed is hurting everyone.
