I do not live in Baltimore, but my friend was reading the magazine last week and she came across a picture of me in my MDA (Magen David Adom) uniform. So I went onto the website to try and find the article and I found it under the international news.
The article, “Five killed in Bulgaria attack” (July 27), has a picture at the top. I figured nobody knows who is in that picture except random Israeli volunteers. However, the truth is, my name is Daniella Lazar and I was part of a special overseas program of international volunteers.
I am from the Five Towns and spent the year in Israel this past year. I know it doesn’t make a difference, but it is nice to put a name to a face. I read the article, and as a volunteer for MDA, thank you for including it in the magazine.
