Cardin School Celebrates Gala

The Shoshana S. Cardin School held a special gala event on Wednesday, October 21, to honor and thank Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum for their leadership, generosity and contributions made towards the Cardin School. The gala raised more than $65,000 with proceeds establishing the Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Educational Fund.

The Vision in Action gala was held at the Woodholme Country Club where over 190 guests celebrated the night with a cocktail hour, silent auction, seated dinner catered by Hoffman & Company and a program of “toasting and roasting” the evening’s honorees who are longtime friends and supporters of the Cardin School. Stewart Greenebaum served as the Founding President of the school and is President Emeritus of the Board of Trustees.

Head of the Cardin School, Barbie Prince, and Chair of the Cardin Board of Trustees, Dr. Arlene Bearman, welcomed guests as friends and colleagues of the Greenebaum’s including Rabbi Steven Fink, Dr. Robert Gallo, Michael Greenebaum, Howard Janet, Robert Levine and Rabbi Stuart Seltzer took turns sharing candid stories and fond memories of the couple.

Distinguished guests present at the gala included Senator Benjamin Cardin and his wife Myrna, Del. Martin O’Malley’s office Susan Driscoll, Shoshana Cardin and Dr. Robert Gallo of the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
