Ingredients


Dough:
2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 stick margarine, softened
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/4 to 1/3 cup water

Filling:
12 ounces black (mission) figs
1/3 cup walnuts
1/2 cup apple juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon each: ground cloves, allspice
