Combine half-and-half and butter in a heavy saucepan; cook over medium heat until butter melts. Cool. Combine eggs and sugar; beat at medium speed of electric mixer for 1 minute. Gradually stir in half-and-half mixture. Stir in raisins. Set aside. Crumble the biscuits into a lightly greased 2 quart shallow baking dish. Add the egg mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean, covering with aluminum foil after 35 minutes to prevent over-browning. Serve warm with whipped cream. 8-10 servings
