Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut out stem and core of each apple, making certain that bottom remains intact. Place apples in a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Fill each apple with about 1/4 cup granola and about 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar. Sprinkle cinnamon on top of apples. Pour wine or water into baking dish and cover with foil. Cook until soft, about 1 hour. For a crisp topping, place apples under broiler, uncovered, for the last 5 minutes of baking. Serves 6.
