Add mushrooms and cook until they are softened, about 3-5 minutes. In a blender or food processor, chop the walnuts. Add mushroom and onion mixture, salt and pepper. Process for 45 seconds. Chill for at least 1 hour prior to serving. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
