Pizzas For Everybody!

Oh, the movie scene possibilities!

“I ordered how many pizzas?” the commanding general bellows at the 10 Domino’s delivery guys, each holding 10 super works pizzas, knees quaking, as they stand outside of his home at midnight.

That’s not quite what happened recently, and some wish it were as benign. It seems a not-so-loyal soldier of the Israel Defense Forces stole the credit card number of the army’s chief of staff — not to mention three firearms.

The thefts occurred last month, but the identity of the soldier and his victim remained under a gag order that was partially lifted recently after pressure from the Israeli media (some of whom may have wanted to charge lunch to the general).

The accused soldier, a guard at the main Tel Aviv military base, was assigned to the general staff area. Using his cell phone, he snapped a photo of Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi.

The credit card number was handed over to an Israeli Arab to whom the soldier owed money. The Israeli Arab promptly bought the two stolen M-16 rifles and a decorative yet non-functional hand gun. Then, about $500 in miscellaneous goodies were charged to the credit card.

No word if pizza is served in Israeli prisons.
