What’s My Synagogue’s High Holiday Plan?

Though many synagogues have resumed in-person service, many also are only having virtual services. The JT reached out to congregations to find their plans for High Holidays.

Agudath Israel of Baltimore: In person only

Adat Chaim Synagogue: Only virtual, non-members must register $100 per household

Baltimore Hebrew Congregation: Virtual

Bet Aviv in Columbia: Virtual only; Morning Service on the First day of Rosh Hashanah open to all on the Bet Aviv YouTube channel, Yom Kippur open to all on the Bet Aviv YouTube channel. Zoom services on Erev Rosh Hashanah, Second Day Rosh Hashanah, Kol Nidre, Yiskor, and Neilah for Bet Aviv members only. Tickets are $100 per person.

Beth Am Synagogue: Only virtual

Beth El Congregation: Only virtual, only for members

Beth Tfiloh Congregation: Both in-person and streamed virtual; physical reservations due Aug. 21; $360 per household

Bnai Israel Congregation: In-person; limited physical reservations due Sept. 7 —

Beth Israel Congregation: Only virtual, non-members $180/family to access all High Holy Day virtual resources, free to members

Bolton Street Synagogue: Only virtual; more details TBD

Chevrei Tzedek Congregation: TBD

Chizuk Amuno Congregation: Only virtual, collecting videos for montage (please see website)

Columbia Jewish Congregation: Only virtual; non-members are asked to register via 410-730-6044

Congregation Beit Tikvah: Only virtual; Elul Events are free and open to all but Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur services are by reservation only

Congregation Netivot Shalom: TBD Aug. 20

Har-Sinai Oheb Shalom: Only virtual

Ner Tamid Greenspring Valley: Adapted in-person services with first-come first-serve basis

Suburban Orthodox Congregation Toras Chaim: Indoor and outdoor in-person

Temple Adas Shalom Harford Jewish Center: Only virtual; non-members are asked to register for free with donations highly appreciated
