On Jan. 14, Florence Aaronson, known publicly as Flo Ayres, of Baltimore at 98. She is survived by nephew Marc (Murphy) Gerber; niece Ann (Robert) Herman; cousins Betsy Harmatz, Barbara Lebson, Monte Ephraim and Lon Ephraim; great-nieces and nephews Scott (Monica) Herman, Douglas (Lisa) Herman, Matthew (Marcia) Herman, Ashley Early and Alexander (Tierney) Gerber; second cousins Josh (Lori) Lebson, Andrew (Danni) Lebson and Rebecca (Simon) Yorinks; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by mother Rebecca Spector and siblings Fred Aaronson, Samuel Aaronson and Rosalie Gerber. She was a trailblazer in both radio and television, providing her well-known voice to commercials and broadcasts of all types. She was considered to be one of the local pioneers in her union, AFTRA, and one of the first female leaders in her industry. Her professional accomplishments were matched only by her ability to connect to those around her of all ages and backgrounds.
