Every day for years we passed David Alt (“A Smile and a Wave: David Alt Spread Cheer on Park Heights,” Dec. 14) and were always looking forward to seeing him. My granddaughter would seize the moment to wave to him. Even though we didn’t know him, he held a special place in our lives. We will miss him!
