The Baltimore Jewish Times was recognized in this year’s annual American Jewish Press Association’s journalism contest, the 42nd Annual Simon Rockower Awards for Excellence in Jewish Journalism.
Ebony Brown, the JT’s art director, won first place in the best graphic artist category for her work on the JT.
In addition, Craig Burke, the CEO of Mid-Atlantic Media, which publishes the JT, won an award for AJPA volunteer of the year.
The 2023 Rockower awards were presented on July 11 at the Rockower Awards Banquet, held this year at The National WWII Museum in New Orleans. They recognize work done in Jewish media in 2022.
In total, MAM won 10 awards.
