On June 25, Raymond Bell of Harford County at 90. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Evelyn Bell (nee Friedman); children Mark (Judy) Bell and Edward (Mindy) Bell; and grandchildren Matthew, Sally, Aaron and Sarah Bell. He was born in New York City and spent his childhood in the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn and attended Boys High School. He attended the City College of New York, where he received a bachelor’s degree of business administration (statistics) in 1952. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. After, he accepted a position as a statistical engineer at the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) in Maryland. He served in the Ballistics Research Laboratory and the Army Material Systems Analysis Agency (AMSAA) at APG and led the Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability Division of AMSAA.
