On April 10, Carol Anita Brandwein (née Kaynard) of Baltimore at 77. She is survived by daughter Tammy Caperon; grandsons Ethan and Joshua Caperon; brothers Jerry (Cheryl) Kaynard and Michael Kaynard (Cynthia Bledsoe); nephew Matthew (Margaux) Kaynard; and great-niece Helena Kaynard. She was predeceased by parents Mina and Louis Kaynard. She was a selfless person who always focused on the people in her life, not the things in her life. For more than 20 years she cared for her mother, Mina, who lived to be 106 years old. Just like her mother, she shared a deep love of Judaism and her Jewish heritage. As the oldest child, she was always the one who took care of everyone. But her greatest joy was her two grandchildren, and she lit up when she saw them. In the past year she also delighted in watching her 1-year-old great-niece, as a symbol of the continuation of the family.
