May 24, Dr. Dale Buchbinder of Pikesville at 73. He is survived by wife Sharon Bell Buchbinder; son Joshua Harlow Buchbinder (Elyse); grandson Dexter Harlow Buchbinder; granddaughter Charlotte Irene Buchbinder; niece Leisha Bell (Jackie Greenberg); and sister Loraine Rissetto. He was predeceased by parents Jacob and Gertrude Buchbinder and sister Georgeda Buchbinder. Inspired by his father, Dr. Jacob Buchbinder, who was a physician and surgeon, he wanted to pursue medicine and surgery from a young age. He earned a bachelor of arts in biology and psychology from Trinity College, a Master of Science from Thomas Jefferson University and a Doctor of Medicine from the Chicago Medical School. He completed a residency in general surgery and a fellowship in vascular surgery at Albany Medical College in Albany, N.Y. Board certified in vascular surgery in 1981. Most recently, he practiced with Maryland Vascular Specialists and served as a clinical professor of surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Prior to going into private practice, he was chairman of the department of surgery at two different hospitals, the Greater Baltimore Medical Center and MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. He gave several hundred presentations and wrote more than 70 publications.
