Israeli Elections: What the Results Mean for the Mideast and America
The Baltimore Zionist District and Beth El Congregation will be holding a forum on most recent Israeli elections and their impact. It will feature three experts, and breakfast is included for attendees. The event will take place at 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Nov. 20, at Beth El Congregation in Pikesville. Teen Service Council: Food Insecurity Pop-Up Event (Grades 8-12)
At this gathering, teens can learn about food insecurity in the local Baltimore community and the world, as well as the hardships and circumstances that families face every day. The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon at 10100 Reisterstown Road in Garrison, Md.

Knit-In VolunTeam
Join the JVC Knitting VolunTeam to crochet for a good cause! From 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. volunteers will be working at the Weinberg JCC to create handmade hats and scarves for vulnerable populations to be donated during JVC’s annual Mitzvah Day on Dec. 25. Skilled knitters and crotchetiers will be available for instructions. All skill levels are welcome to join this free event. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own supplies, though some materials will be available for those without. Vaccinations and masks are a requirement to attend. Virtual Tour of Jewish Georgia in eastern Europe
The Baltimore Zionist District is hosting a virtual tour of historic Jewish Georgia in Eastern Europe and at the tip of Western Asia, exploring a history that goes back more than 26 centuries. See snowy mountains, rivers, lakes, food, wine and hospitality with guide Evgenia Kempinski. The tour will visit Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi, and other towns to examine the lives and heritage of Georgian Jews, as well as how they progressed and thrived over the years. Embrace the spirit of Thanksgiving by joining the Jewish Volunteer Connection in baking casseroles to help feed thousands of children and adults in Baltimore who are food insecure.
