Amar’e Stoudemire: My Jewish Journey
NBA superstar, actor, author, producer, motivational speaker, philanthropist and Orthodox Jew Amar’e Stoudemire will speak at a free event in Beth Tfiloh Congregation’s Dahan Sanctuary at 7:30 p.m. His story will include how his calling to Judaism guided his NBA career, why he chose to undergo Orthodox conversion, and what motivated him to become an Israeli citizen and start his own kosher wine label.

This weekly group begins on Nov. 10 and is hosted by Jewish Community Services. Jewish Uniformed Service Association of Maryland and the Jewish War Veterans of Maryland invite everyone to a Veterans Day Shabbat dinner at the JUSA Center at 2316 Sugarcone Road in Baltimore. ‘Voices of the heart’: A musical Tribute
Beth Tfiloh Congregation in Pikesville will host a musical tribute on Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. to Cantor Avi Albrecht, who is retiring. A gala dessert reception will follow. All proceeds will benefit the building of a new ICU at Laniado Hospital in Netanya, Israel. Masked seating is available.
