Carol Thanhouser Dupkin (nee Neuberger) passed away on Dec. 8, leaving a legacy of love, dedication, and service. Carol was the cherished daughter in a family that valued hard work and compassion. She was predeceased by her parents, Lillian and Ferdinand Neuberger, brother, Henry Neuberger, and her beloved husbands, Sidney (Buddy) Thanhouser Jr. and Manuel (Dup) Dupkin II.

Carol’s passion for art and philanthropy inspired her to serve on the board of the Walters Art Gallery and on the Women’s Board of Johns Hopkins. Her volunteer efforts were far-reaching, extending beyond formal positions. She committed her time and energy to bettering her community and making a difference on a global scale. Our mother’s warmth, wisdom, and steadfast spirit left an indelible mark on her family and her community. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her children, Dr. Sally Thanhouser and Sidney (Pete) Thanhouser III (Amy), her loving grandchildren, Maxwell Thanhouser (Mary Beth) and Carly Thanhouser (Jacob Haspiel), and her five great-grandchildren.
