On Sept. 3, Doris “Chickie” Singer of State College, Pa. at 97. She is survived by children Richard A. Singer (Jeane V. Singer) and Judy L. Singer (Robert H. Ainslie); and grandchildren Scott A. Singer and Robert L. Ainslie. She was predeceased by spouse Harold Singer; brothers Robert and David Mazer; and parents Louis and Rose Mazer. Chickie, as she was affectionately known, was a remarkable woman who faced and overcame challenges with determination and without complaint. In her younger years, Chickie was known for her glamorous style and love for fashion. She traveled the world with family, creating lifelong friendships along the way. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Chickie’s legacy will live on through the memories shared by her family and friends. She will be remembered for her strength, grace and unwavering love for those around her.
