On October 25, Dr. Charles Krifcher at 88. He is survived by his wife, Sara Rubinstein Krifcher; daughter Helene (Andrew) Felber; son Ron Krifcher (Amy Barron); granddaughter Dani Felber; grandson Michael Felber; sister-in-law Dorita Krifcher; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Moises and Dora Krifcher, and brother Manolo.
His fructiferous career included practicing at Homestead Hospital, West Jefferson Hills Hospital and Braddock Hospital. Charles was chief of pathology, and also became certified and worked as a medical review officer and taught many pathology residents during his career. His last position in pathology was at the McKeesport Hospital of UPMC, after which he retired from active practice.
Charles was an avid World War II buff and a baseball fan, and made each person he spoke with feel that they were the most interesting person he had ever met. His greatest pleasure was to engage in conversation with both those he loved and those he had yet to make into a friend.
