On Sept. 6, Dr. Joel Stephen Hirschhorn of Chevy Chase at 83. He is survived by wife Jaqueline M. Rams and daughters Terri Hayes and Lesa Stewart. He was predeceased by sister Carol Babus and parents Blanche and Leon Hirschhorn. He was a member of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons and America’s Frontline Doctors. His work was his passion and he was exceptionally good at it. He used his skills and intelligence to bring important issues to light. His legacy is a cleaner, safer and overall better world.
